Event Description: Now that we are emerging from a tumultuous year, the new Biden-Harris administration will throw us some curveballs in the employment law arena. In this session, we will discuss where we as HR professionals are mid-pandemic and where we are headed in the areas of compliance, hiring, coaching, training, investigating, disciplining and (potentially) discharging our employees in 2021 and beyond. And we will address the challenges that will arise in the workplace due to an expected seismic shift in the government’s employment law stance.absence.

Jim is a Shareholder in the St. Louis office of national labor and employment law firm Ogletree Deakins. Jim holds the SHRM-SCP certification and has extensive experience in handling labor and employment law litigation, trials and appeals in federal and state courts and claims/investigations in various governmental agencies. Jim also regularly advises employers on all labor and human resource management issues, with special expertise and emphasis on accommodating employee disabilities, service animals, work restrictions, and medical leaves of absences. He currently serves as Director-Elect on the Missouri State Council of SHRM.
